Music Program
Music is a vibrant and integral part of the spiritual experience at Shawnee Mission UU Church. Music selections are chosen from a vast array of sources running the gamut from Classical to World Music. Selections chosen typically complement the sermon topic for that particular Sunday.
At SMUUCh, music is a huge part of our culture! All congregants are invited to be a part of the musical fabric of the church. This might include offering a musical gift or joining the SMUUCh Adult Choir to contribute to the Sunday morning worship experience. There are many opportunities for professional and amateur musicians in the congregation (including vocalists, pianists, percussionists, instrumental soloists and ensembles) and guest musicians from the greater Kansas City area to share in the Sunday morning service music schedule throughout the year!
